Life has been crazy lately, but I’m loving San Francisco & Berkeley. Here are a few recent snaps from my Bay Area adventures:
1 • The prettiest, freshest city on a beautiful sunny day.
2 • A Quinoa + Ratatoullie lunch at La Boulange.
3 & 4 • Regalito Rosticeria in the Mission (by far the most delicious Mexican food I’ve had in the city).
After an entire month off, I’m finally finding time to sit down and get back to blogging. Now for the big update: we’ve officially relocated to San Francisco! We moved into an old house with our very best friends and we’re still working on getting settled. Stay tuned for more regular posts and San Francisco features. If you’re located in the Bay Area, send me some recommendations for your favorite places! I can’t wait to start exploring my new home. ♥
Isn’t it lovely how everything – clothes, design, nature – gets much more colorful, almost tropical, with the heat? I’m loving how bright and cheery my Instagram feed has become. Just a few months ago I was filling my world with muted, neutral grays of all kinds.
On another note – see that book there, “The Creative Habit”? Written by dance choreographer Twyla Tharp, it has lessons and exercises for practicing and nurturing your own ‘creative habit’. I was introduced to this book by my professor, Lauren Lake, and still turn to it when I’m in a rut (and dealing with ‘ruts’ is actually covered in the book). A quick and easy read, I highly recommend it if you’re in a creative field.
The easiest way to spoil yourself? Throw a morning brunch party for one. Just brewing my coffee into a cute porcelain teapot makes everything feel a bit more luxurious. I’ve given up dairy so coconut milk has become my new creamer, and it’s delicious. Fresh strawberries and fried eggs topped with avocado rounded out my little meal so nicely.
